About the role:
Our Data Operations team is looking to bring on an experienced Data Operations Engineer to be part of our fast-growing Data Ops team. We see massive growth in our future and would love for you to be a part of it! You will partner with customers, data vendors and several internal teams and ingest data to the industry leading data platform which is built on highly scalable, flexible and resilient cloud architectures. As a trusted customer advocate, you will have the opportunity to guide a client’s successful adoption of Abacus’s core data management offerings

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and collect data from vendors, clients and run the ingestions through the connectors to the abacus platform as per the agreed SLAs.
  • Perform the quality checks defined.
  • Coordinate between internal teams to resolve data load issues. 
  • Produce client and internal reports.
  • Perform data analysis and troubleshooting.
  • Write automation scripts to eliminate the manual ops work.
  • Foster dynamic, high performance, and collaborative culture.
  • Guide team member to solve issue and help them to understand.
  • Spearheading clients’ projects and handle client call.
  • Constantly think about process enhancement and bring different ideas into table.
  • Work with teams across regions (India and Nepal), and help facilitate workstreams

What you bring to the Abacus Team:

  • 5+ years working in data operations.
  • Understanding and passion for healthcare data and systems – including payer, provider, and integration partners.
  • Strong experience writing queries, performing data analysis, data profiling and reporting.
  • Experience handling large volume of data
  • Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Seeking better analytical solutions to abstract business problems
  • Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Experience coupled with a willingness to learn new things
  • Desire to contribute individually, with the ability both to self-direct work and to collaborate with others.
  • Strong Programming skills Python, SQL Preferred.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to mentor, facilitate and work with cross regional teams (India and Nepal)

We’re already intrigued but would love experience with:

  • Experience working with AWS platform.
  • Familiarity with cloud systems like Snowflake and Databricks
  • Understanding or experience working for a cloud-based data management provider to large healthcare clients.
