You will be part of a newly formed department, Marketing Operations. You will help create the necessary framework and tooling used by all marketing departments. You will liaise with product teams directly to build up the needed capabilities and influence their roadmaps. You will be at the core of enabling Product Marketing, Growth, DevRel, and Brand programs to succeed by providing tools and insights to make better data-driven decisions. You will create analyses and assessments which will support department leads to prioritize their investments and understand correlations between program outputs and top-line outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Define the scope and build the analytics arm of Marketing Operations

  • Use sophisticated modeling techniques such as causal inference to undercover insights related to user behavior, interpret data across channels to provide quick turn-around insights to brand and content teams

  • Build management systems, scorecards, and data-visualization based presentations that enable marketing leaders to make better decision

  • Provide projections and forecasting for platform, channel/content strategy and planning

  • Solid understanding of source data, its strengths, weaknesses, semantics, and formats; solid knowledge of logical and physical data modeling concepts (relational and dimensional)

Qualifications:

  • Understanding of econometric modeling (like regression, linear, ridge) and how to apply models to measure marketing efficiency and optimize spend, to flight and mix to maximize return on ad spend (i.e., MMM)

  • Strong knowledge of SQL

  • Doing analysis using Python or R, expertise across digital research and analytics tools (Google, Omniture, Tubular, Comscore) 

  • Experience with at least 1 BI tool (Power BI, Tableau or Looker)

  • Knowledge of git versioning and control

  • Advanced experimentation experience, including multivariate and causal analysis

  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills

  • Create a plan with department leads to build solid management systems and reporting for their programs

  • Drive insights and uncover investment opportunities from currently available data

  • Work closely with different teams to influence decisions on infrastructure and represent marketing and its needs

What to expect in the first year

  • Support overall decision-making and have solid tools and models in place to enable big investment decisions

  • Use advanced ML techniques to understand user behavior and create user segments that will improve the understanding of current users' behaviors

  • Support the cultural changes to become a data-driven organization by enabling a wide variety of stakeholders to understand and use data in their decision making
