We are looking for committed, driven professionals to join our Growth Strategy and Analytics team. You will be responsible for setting and operationalizing our strategy through cross-functional team alignment and driving quantitative and qualitative analysis needed to support the case of key initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and problem solving skills, and the ability to work across our organization to advance our recommendations.

What You'll Do

You will build a deep and broad understanding of the Affirm business and platform while partnering heavily across the organization to drive alignment and execution on Affirm’s merchant growth strategy. You will be responsible for prioritization and delivery of strategic goals from exploration to rollout, and will help us set the strategic vision and GTM priorities for our business.

  • Be our go-to partner for financial modeling and data-driven analyses; develop detailed forecasts
  • Be a thought partner to Commercial and Growth Strategy leadership and our partner teams, making data-driven recommendations to enable growth.
  • Partner closely with the Product team to develop long-term business strategy and prioritize new product features required to win in this space
  • Champion cross-functional initiatives from concept to rollout by defining workstreams, meeting with teammates, and anchoring progress to our quarterly priorities with Product, Finance, Merchant Pricing, Marketing, Sales, Credit, Capital Markets, Client Success, Data Science and Partnerships
  • Lead analysis to answer open-ended questions and present findings to teammates and leaders.
  • Develop and report on critical success metrics and communicate meaningful insights to partners.
  • Build & monitor team metrics dashboards and workstream trackers
  • Create thoughtful, succinct presentations to communicate the performance of the business and influence senior leaders to advocate for strategic priorities
  • Vigilantly follow the competitive landscape and evolving market dynamics

What We Look For

  • Passion and drive to redefine both the retail and payments industry for the better
  • 6+ years of experience within investment banking, management consulting, or private equity, and ideally more recent experience in strategy/business operations/strategic finance functions at a high-growth technology company
  • A passion for finding insights in data and a familiarity with tools like SQL, Python and Excel to uncover those insights
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills – written, verbal, and graphic - are a must
  • Strong work ethic - able to take ownership beyond own responsibility and manage timelines effectively
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships
  • Ability to think creatively and critically and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and often ambiguous work environment
  • Just enough laziness to find a faster way to do your least favorite tasks
  • Direct, open, and humble communication, including a willingness to receive constructive feedback
