About the Role:

As a Staff Data Scientist, you will provide cutting-edge data science models, and expert insights for business challenges throughout the organization. You’ll partner with business stakeholders to define problems and develop models that impact our growth across all markets and products. You will partner cross-functionally across Finance, Customer Success, Sales, Marketing as well as Senior leadership.

This role requires a mixture of business acumen and technical expertise, along with an ability to build strong partnerships with business partners. You will take a leadership role in coaching and enabling your peers. Success in the role will require a self-starter with a passion for collaborating with others to solve problems. The ideal candidate will be an inquisitive learner with a passion for data science who can collaborate with stakeholders across functional areas while aligning to corporate objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with various business teams such as; Marketing, Finance, Customer Success, and Sales to deliver impactful Data Science solutions to understand our customers
  • Manage stakeholders through the lifecycle of data science projects from ideation to action.
  • Identify areas to evolve and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of existing data artifacts
  • Collaborate with members of the Customer Intelligence team to help drive data science strategy and analytics adoption across the organization.
  • Deliver a range of custom data science projects that may include churn modeling, customer propensity modeling, developing a customer health score, causal inference; customer lifetime value; share of wallet etc..
  • Provide clear visualizations and present analyses to Executive-Level Stakeholders, using Business Intelligence tools and predictive analytics to drive key decisions.
  • Participate in ad hoc projects around strategic initiatives. 

Qualifications:

  • At least 6 years work experience in Data Science applications.
  • Exceptional ability framing Data Science solutions for business questions.
  • Strong proficiency with SQL and Python.
  • Experience building predictive models.
  • Strong business acumen and communication skills, ability to translate complex modeling into explainable business recommendations.
  • Exceptional visual storytelling skills.
  • Fast learner with high attention to detail.
  • Top-notch work ethic and ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Business, Economics, or related discipline required, MS preferred.
