What We Need

We are seeking a staff data scientist to be our technical leader for games analytics. The ideal person will be an authority and an individual contributor who will deliver compelling insights to influence game roadmaps and enable decisions. Have a proven track record to mentor a team and applying your technical skills to generate value. You will be someone who has a good balance of business thinking alongside analytical and technical skills.

What You Will Do

  • Reporting: Develop and improve our mobile analytics reporting platforms; enabling teams across the company to make data informed decisions
  • Business Insight: Understand the problems our studios and partners want to solve for, and then define the right data, metrics, analysis, and interpretation to lead to the right recommendations and decisions
  • Understand players: Help us to further understand, model, predict, segment, and retain our players and enable our studios to launch new titles, develop features, and live ops events.
  • Innovate: Proactively develop new analyses, experiments, and data-driven tools to better understand our players’ behavior and the performance of our games
  • Discover: Use data and insights to discover opportunities for driving value for the business, develop ideas for new analyses, and model
  • Direct: Be the voice of product analytics and help choose the right projects to prioritize for the team. Have a significant voice in the analytics roadmap
  • Partner Management: Recognize dependencies, build relationships, and influence partners across teams
  • Communication: Design clear and unambiguous stories, and visualizations to report your results/analyses

 What Will Make You a Great Fit  

  • Experience: 7+ years of work experience in data science or analytics role
  • Leadership: Mentor, guide and inspire your colleagues
  • Analytical coding: Fluent programming via languages such as Python or R
  • Visualization: Adept in at least one visualization tool such as Tableau or Looker
  • SQL: The ability to write complex SQL queries to analyze our databases with millions of players and work with relational database systems.
  • Superb attention to detail, natural curiosity, and ability to problem-solve creatively

Bonus Points 

  • Knowledge and love for the NBA and WWE franchises preferred
  • Intimate knowledge of game production and monetization strategies, as well as the current mobile marketing/technology landscape
