Zippin is looking for a Store Analyst, Checkout Free Retail  for our Business Intelligence team, reporting to our Director, Business Intelligence.

We are looking for an Analyst who will provide visibility, insights, and recommendations for Zippin stores.  

The Store Analyst will report internally on store performance and KPIs, finding ways to improve visibility and dig into the data to answer questions.  The Store Analyst will also report externally to retail partners on store performance and shopping patterns, and make recommendations on product offerings, store layout, etc.

Responsibilities & Duties

    • Proactively meet with stakeholders to identify needs and prioritize reports/analyses, managing relationships and ensuring expectations are met.
    • Meet regularly with retail partners to review store performance, adjust reporting/data pipeline, and recommend store improvements.
    • Implement best practices for reporting such as defining and socializing key metrics and ensuring all reports tie back to standards.
    • Own and maintain the data for certain “source of truth” reports.
    • Validate results, perform quality assurance, identify problems and gaps with data, and organize and communicate those.

Qualifications & Skills

    • 2-4 years previous experience as an analyst in a retail industry or equivalent experience involving store data.
    • A degree in computer science, or equivalent quantitative degree or experience.
    • Proficient with Python and Pandas (or equivalent), SQL, and spreadsheets. 
    • Experience developing automation: apps, pipelines, containers.
    • Experience analyzing data to draw business-relevant conclusions.
    • Experience using effective data visualization techniques and tools.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills including technical writing skills.

    • Passion for AI and machine learning.
    • Skilled at generating process documentation.
