About the Role:  

We are seeking a working student to join our Business Insights team based out of Berlin. The ideal candidate will have a mix of curiosity and passion along with a drive for results. You will gain first-hand experience at data analysis, particularly focusing on commercial, transactional data sets including new customer prospects, leads & opportunities and revenue. You will gain exposure to many aspects of the data chain including some data modeling, visualization, analysis & reporting. Your role will be to build data products and solutions such as dashboards for different data consumers across Planet. You will also be part of a cross functional team working to improve Planet data quality by analyzing trends in data cleanliness. Ideally, you will have an interest in Planet’s mission and values.

Impact You’ll Own:

• Database querying (mostly in Google BigQuery)
• Data analysis (possibly in Python)
• Document data models and infrastructure
• Build metrics dashboards (mostly in Looker or LookerStudio)
• Build data models to transform business problems into actionable metrics (mostly in dbt)
• Differential & gap analysis to identify root cause of issues & recommend solutions

What You Bring:

• Studying mathematics, statistics, finance, economics, computer science or other data-related course
• Basic SQL skills 
• Basic experience manipulating data in Excel or other spreadsheet solutions
• Accurate and reliable working ethic
• Flexible and able to react to change quickly and efficiently
• Excellent multi-tasking and organizational skills
• Highly motivated and proactive team player who is eager to learn
• Fluent in written and spoken English
