Your Impact:

Handshake is hiring an Insights Analyst for our fast-growing employer business unit. You'll be responsible for bringing Handshake’s unique data to life for the 400,000 employers on our platform. This is a pivotal time in the growth of our business, as we scale our enterprise offering and create the category of proactive, data-driven recruiting for entry level (college) talent.  

You’ll be applying insights to transform leading employers’ talent strategy, working closely with executives at leading companies and partnering with our strategic account management team. Your entrepreneurial approach and curiosity will also shape Handshake’s strategy and inform both students and employers on how they can find their ideal role.  Entry level recruiting has not been historically optimized with data; you could change all that!

Your Role

• Leverage Handshake’s unique data to create innovative, custom analyses and tools to address talent strategy challenges
• Write SQL/R/Python queries to extract necessary data, analyze the results to generate actionable insights and present the findings either in Looker, Excel or PowerPoint
• Understand Handshake’s 3 sided marketplace and bring new ideas to market that help end-clients make better marketing decisions
• Collaborate closely with the sales, marketing, product and other data partners to provide analysis, reporting and tool-building capabilities that inform our key stakeholders
• Build cross-functional relationships and partner effectively with other teams for collaborative opportunities
• Develop scalable and repeatable playbooks/narratives for internal and external stakeholders
• Develop custom analyses  narratives to help our clients and prospects better understand the value of Handshake data
• Serve as a strategic advisor to internal and external stakeholders as it pertains to data usage, insights, and measurement
• Travel requirements: approximately 10% of the time for team offsite, Handshake conferences, and client meetings (not at the moment due to Covid-19)

Your Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• 2+ years of experience in an analytics or consulting role
• Experience analyzing data in SQL, Excel, SAS or other similar software
• 1+ year of experience using a visualization tool such as Tableau or Looker
• Experience using various raw data formats in Google Sheets, XLS, CSV, etc

Bonus Areas of Expertise: 

• Experience using data warehousing tools like  Snowflake or GCP
• CRM experience such as Salesforce
• Experience w/ Python
• Experience in talent analytics

Compensation Range:

• $76,000 - $97,000
