Your Impact:

Handshake is hiring a Senior Analytics Engineer reporting to the senior manager of data on the data team. In this role you will act as the critical interface between internal and external consumers of data and our data platform. This is a high-impact role that is responsible for ensuring that analysts, data scientists and other stakeholders have easy access to clean, reliable data.

Your Role:

• Be a trusted partner to data stakeholders throughout the organization

• Understand the needs of data users and translate those into clear, trusted data models

• Work with data engineers, analysts and data scientists to develop end-to-end solutions to the data needs throughout the organization

• Help develop and enforce data governance practices including documentation, security and quality assurance

• Drive the development of an analytics technology platform

• Optimize and aggregate data into well-designed, efficient data models for use by downstream stakeholders

• Monitor and maintain data pipelines

Your Experience:

• Expert in a cloud-based data warehouse such as BigQuery, Redshift, or Snowflake

• Expert in modern data governance practices around usability, availability, integrity, and security

• Experience with a data visualization platform such as Looker, Mode Analytics, or Tableau

• Experience with ETL/ELT tools such as dbt, AWS Glue, or equivalent

• Experience supporting business intelligence and analytics at a high growth SaaS business

Compensation Range: 

$168,904-$197,548
