About Trevor
The Trevor Project is the world’s largest suicide prevention and crisis intervention organization for LGBTQ young people. We are a non-profit that provides 24/7 life-saving support via phone, text, and chat. We also operate the world’s largest safe space social networking site for LGBTQ youth and run innovative research, education, and advocacy programs. We’ve been saving lives every day for over 20 years.
Overview of the role
As the Analytics and Business Intelligence Manager, you will support the Organizational Performance Director in enabling the usage of data to inform decisions and strategic direction, both at the org level as well as the team level. You will work closely with technology and service teams to advance internal data insights, literacy, and performance management reporting. You will be instrumental in ensuring Organizational Performance metrics are measurable, accurate, and transparent. Designing and operationalizing an overall ABI roadmap will be a large part of your responsibility. You will oversee a team of data analysts, ensuring data analyses and insights are enabling our teams to better reach their goals. You will have the opportunity to engage all teams across Team Trevor, with a particular focus on work connected to Trevor’s life-saving crisis services program.
Who you are
Action-oriented. You know how to get things done. You can move quickly and smartly. You love to set challenging goals and then develop plans to deliver and achieve them.
Technical and Strategic. You know enough about data to do some damage, but your current strength lies in how to transform an organization along its data maturity curve.
Collaborative. You will be juggling tasks from multiple teams with multiple needs. You care deeply about cross-functional collaboration and ownership.
Big Picture Thinker. You are someone who thinks strategically. You love to brainstorm and come up with big bold ideas, but also know the “how”. You look at the way things are and then imagine multiple ways they can be improved, with the ability to map dependencies and impacts.
Organized and Efficient. You know how to manage complex projects. You can communicate clearly and concisely. The moment you see a problem, you quickly come up with solutions and then implement them.
Effective Communicator. You understand the criticality of clear, transparent communication, both written and verbal, especially as it relates to data literacy.
Analytical. You know how to crunch data in technical data systems and create compelling stories. You are comfortable with numbers and you know how to use them to get results.
Passionate. You care about LGBTQ youth. You care about saving lives. You want to come to work and feel inspired every day. You want to change the world.
Fun. The work we do is very serious, but that doesn’t mean we don’t have fun. We know how to have a good time and you should too.
