Through Rupa, practitioners can order testing not available through the average hospital, such as DNA testing, microbiome testing, advanced fertility and hormone testing, and more.
This comprehensive and personalized approach to healthcare is the missing piece for the millions of people suffering from complex, chronic health conditions. Rather than band-aid solutions, our providers strive to understand, diagnose, and treat the root cause of people’s health issues. 🤩 The Role - What's a day in the life of an Analytics Engineer at Rupa Health?
As our first analytics engineer, you will be responsible for building and maintaining the data layer for our analytics stack.
You consider yourself part data engineer, part data analyst, and as such your responsibilities will span from organizing raw data all the way to up to providing clean, organized and sometimes analyzed data for business stakeholders.
You are well adept in software engineering practices and believe version control, CI and testing are core to building out a well architected data stack.
What you'll work on.
- Ensure our data infrastructure delivers data to analytics and business systems reliably
- Work with software engineers to model our data for easy use by every team in the company
- Work with product and marketing team members to help them understand their data so we can build the right experience for practitioners and patients
- Expand our data infrastructure as necessary to ensure that the team can derive insights and analysis from new and existing data analysis tools

👋 Does this sound like you? ⬇️
- 3+ years of professional experience, preferably working cross functionally on dynamic companies and teams
- Ability to write SQL that is performant, iterable and easy to debug (DBT experience is a bonus!)
- Ability to design data models that enable fast and accurate analysis
- Previous experience building custom data pipelines using tools like Airflow.
- Strong ability to analyze data to discover actionable insights
- Experience working with a variety of business stakeholders to identify and scope data needs.
- Experience building data stacks from 0 to 1
