LaunchDarkly is looking for an experienced Analytics Engineer to join the Data team. You’ll work as an embedded Analytics Engineer on the Growth squad to measure the impact of our initiatives, find opportunity areas, and shape the direction of our metrics and data. You’ll have the opportunity to dive into a wide scope of product, revenue, and marketing data to help the team make the right decisions and achieve ambitious goals.
Provide data-driven solutions to complex business problems by leveraging our data warehouse, business analytics tools, and scripting languages.
Understand the goals and requirements of Growth initiatives, and develop reusable key dimensions and measures to understand results.
Function as a full-fledged member of the Growth team, actively participating in project planning and brainstorming, and promoting data quality and strategy in our work.
Define and analyze product metrics to inform the success of the Growth team, and help us increase customer conversion, adoption, engagement, and retention.
Work with the Growth team to design experiments based on hypotheses, establish whether those experiments were successful, and report on insights.
Refine, document, and communicate data instrumentation best practices and conventions.
Translate quantitative analyses and findings into insightful visuals suitable for sharing with a wide, non-technical audience.
3+ years of professional experience as a Analytics Engineer or similar job functions
A BS in computer science or other technical field
Ability to understand, tackle, and communicate problems from both technical and business perspectives
Experience synthesizing disparate data sources to drive to logical, concise, and actionable conclusions
Expertise working with BI tools (we use Looker & Amplitude) and the ability to interpret complex data findings into actionable business insights.
Familiarity with funnel reporting and business-critical metrics, such as pipeline, conversion rates, deal velocity, and opportunities
Proficient in Snowflake SQL, equivalent querying language, or strong foundation in set theory
You enjoy wearing multiple hats and collaborating with cross-functional teams. One day you might be writing an in-depth analysis of a newly released feature, and another you might be knee-deep tying product SDK data to CRM data.
You have an appetite for learning and teaching
You’re naturally curious and are excited to tackle varied and open-ended problems with your team
