LaunchDarkly is seeking an experienced Senior Analytics Engineer to join our small but rapidly growing data team. You will work with other data engineers and analytics engineers to shape the direction of our data platform and work with stakeholders across the company to deliver metrics that matter to the business.
Provide data-driven solutions to solve business complex business problems leveraging our data warehouse, business analytics tools, and scripting languages.
Collaborate with business partners to understand the importance and requirements of their requests. Distill these asks to reusable key dimensions and measures
Translate quantitative analyses and findings into clear visuals for non-technical members suitable for their workflow.
Further curate and expose our existing data insights using our data tools
Form a strong relationship with the members of our team and refine our best practices e.g. naming convention, data modeling, and data quality testing.
Train users across the organization to self-serve requests using our explorable data sets
5+ years of professional experience as a data engineer or similar job functions
A BS in computer science, math, or equivalent experience
A sense of empathy and willingness to understand others' viewpoints
An appetite for learning and teaching
Ability to understand, tackle, and communicate problems from both technical and business perspectives
Experience with data modeling and warehousing concepts
Proficient in Snowflake SQL, equivalent querying language, or strong foundation in set theory
Proficient with Python or an equivalent scripting language
Familiar with Jinja or an equivalent templating language
