The Role in Brief:

Associate Director, Marketing Analytics

The Associate Director, Marketing Analytics discovers, analyzes, and communicates optimal marketing strategies that accelerate results for partners. The analyst’s deep knowledge of Enrollment Services marketing campaigns, identification of program successes and opportunities, and discovery of recruitment trends by analyzing results across all our higher education partners ensure that best practice marketing strategies are applied to every campaign. The Associate Director, Marketing Analytics is central to the Marketing & Analytics team mission to turn data into information, information into insight, and insight into business decisions resulting in our partners’ success.

This role is open to candidates based remotely within the United States.

Primary Responsibilities:

Campaign and Partner Optimization:

  • Collaborate on global marketing A/B testing design, audience makeup, audience size, execution, etc. to ensure analytic and statistical standards are met and results can be accurately read
  • Monitor and read global marketing tests resulting in thorough, comprehensive analysis with insight on test performance and recommendations detailed in presentations and documentation
  • Monitor marketing campaign performance through customized queries and dashboards, digging into specific marketing elements to analyze impact and diagnose changes in performance
  • Perform end-of-cycle analyses to unpack and detail key areas of success and opportunity for all major marketing programs
  • Aggregate individual marketing optimization efforts of similar tactics, producing global recommendations & findings
  • Present regularly to internal stakeholders and the marketing strategy & innovation team, detailing insights, opportunities, and recommendations
  • Create and update KPIs and statistics used in broader EAB marketing, sales, etc.
  • Perform ad-hoc analyses to support marketing strategy & innovation, analytics, partner success, etc.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, analytics, or other quantitative field
  • 5+ years’ experience using data analysis to generate insightful findings required
  • Exceptional analytic skills with a focus on converting analysis into strategy
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to articulate findings and strategies clearly and effectively
  • Detail oriented, with an emphasis on documentation and organization
  • Ability to collaborate with diverse functional areas to successfully complete projects
  • Strong work ethic, ability to work independently, and a desire to own projects from inception to presentation
  • Proficiency using SQL or other query tools/languages to perform data manipulation, with a working knowledge of databases and data relationships
  • Proficiency in standard business applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Ideal Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in marketing, business, analytics, or other quantitative field a strong plus
  • 7+ years’ experience using data analysis to generate insightful findings
  • 5+ years’ experience in digital marketing, direct marketing, or higher education
  • Proficiency developing reports for internal and client audiences that utilize effective visualization techniques and highlight compelling insights, with ideal candidates having familiarity with Tableau
