We are seeking highly motivated Data Engineers to join our Marketing organization to build data science solutions for our multi-family customers. As a Data Engineer in our organization, you will play a pivotal role in fulfilling our data strategy and creating innovative solutions. You will be part of a dynamic group focused on creating new data science applications. Your role will involve building data pipelines, supporting the data science team to run experiments, test models, and support the models and data pipelines in production, by ensuring our applications and models are reliable, scalable, and repeatable. You will also spend significant time collaborating with product and data science teams on data driven solutions and working to ensure these solutions have been reviewed and approved by Engineering.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Develop orchestration and transformation code using Python, Scala, and open-source tools and frameworks.
• Participate brainstorming sessions with other team members.
• Implement planning and development methodologies with a focus on productivity and automation.
• Monitor data projects in accordance with the development life cycle; assures compliance with quality standards.
• Assists the project manager to establish a clear vision and strategy.
• Works closely with the Product/Engineering manager on technical design and execution.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities.
• Flexible during times of change with the ability to navigate and resolve ambiguity.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multi-task.
• Strong analysis skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. (Proficient English is preferred)

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

• Bachelor’s or Master's degree related to Computer Science, Software Development, Information Technology or related field
• 5+ years of experience building and supporting Big Data systems in production.
• 5+ years of experience in external API integration using ETL/Orchestration.
