SUMMARY

RealPage is at the forefront of the Gen AI revolution, dedicated to shaping the future of artificial intelligence in the PropTech domain. We are seeking highly motivated Data Scientists to join our Gen AI Center of Excellence team. As a Data Scientist in our organization, you will play a pivotal role in fulfilling our AI strategy and creating innovative solutions. You will be part of a dynamic group focused on creating new Gen AI applications or powering existing systems with Gen AI capabilities. Your role will involve fine-tuning pre-trained Foundation Models, applying prompt-engineering techniques, collaborating with product, and engineering teams on AI solutions, and more.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Evaluate different AI technologies, tools, LLMs (Large Language Models), vector databases and frameworks to select the most suitable ones for each project.
  • Develop innovative approaches to enhance the capabilities of Gen AI and NLP technologies to handle a wide range of tasks and adapt to new situations.
  • Implementing, deploying, and exploring state-of-the-art machine learning algorithms under Gen AI including fine-tuning pre-trained Foundation Models for RealPage applications.
  • Build POCs on various Gen AI use cases across business functions.
  • Build data preprocessing and cleansing pipeline and ensure it is suitable for training and testing and scaling AI models.
  • Master prompt engineering to handle hallucinations, anticipate and resolve as many edge cases as possible to ensure robustness of the Gen AI solution.
  • Establish validation and evaluation frameworks to measure LLMs efficacy and to extensively test various Gen AI capabilities and edge cases.
  • Work as part of interdisciplinary teams, collaborating with other AI engineers, software engineers, product managers, and domain experts to develop comprehensive Gen AI solutions or integrate with existing solutions.
  • Stay up to date with the latest advancements in AI and research trends and explore innovative approaches and technologies to enhance project outcomes and drive continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrate a growth mindset and curiosity in understanding RealPage's business processes, products, and challenges.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

  • Master's degree or higher in a quantitative field such as statistics, mathematics, data science, business analytics, economics, finance, engineering, or computer science.
  • 4+ years of industry experience in data science or similar role.
  • Strong proficiency in Python and SQL, experience in writing production-grade code.
  • Deep understanding of NLP/NLU/NLG models, including experience with LLMs, NERs, Sentiment Analysis, Topic Modeling etc.
  • Experience with deep learning, machine learning and NLP/NLG frameworks (like Keras, TensorFlow or PyTorch etc.), HuggingFace Transformers and libraries (like scikit-learn, spacy, gensim, SparkNLP etc.)
  • Familiarity with using cloud technologies (e.g., AWS/GCP/Azure).
  • Experience working with large datasets and building data preprocessing pipelines.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively.

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

  • Familiarity with LangChain, LLAMAIndex, Foundation model tuning, and Data Augmentation and Performance Evaluation frameworks.
  • Large models pretrain/fine-tuning experience, familiar with distributed training.
  • Familiarity with Chatbot frameworks.
  • Familiarity with MLOps frameworks.
  • Experience in Docker and Kubernetes.
