Join the Business Insights Group supporting Amazon's Employee Resource Center (ERC) and help make a difference for all Amazonians! The ERC provides HR assistance to Amazon employees in the form of accurate, consistent, and timely responses to inquiries from various contact channels – phone, web case and chat. The Business Insights Group combines analytical and subject matter expertise across ERC and HR to provide insights to decision makers and own recommendations for process improvement. We are looking for an ERC Business Analyst to drive actionable insights through sustainable analytical solutions. We need an analyst who is passionate about the Customer Experience, who thinks and acts globally, and who has the ability to contribute major new innovations.

This role will be responsible for answering questions about the state of our business, generating new insights to help guide the strategic direction of the ERC, building and maintaining reports for all levels of our organization, integrating new data sources into a team-specific Redshift cluster, and ensuring data cleanliness and accuracy.

We’re looking for someone with experience in and passion for:
· Translating data insights into clear business actions and recommendations
· Sourcing, maintaining and visualizing data
· Developing deep domain knowledge
· Clearly communicating findings and recommendations to senior leaders
· Prioritization and managing multiple requests simultaneously
· Advocating for the customer experience and working backwards from their needs

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative field (engineering, economics, math, statistics) or commensurate work experience
· A minimum of 3 years of experience in an analytics role
· Working knowledge of SQL (T-SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, HiveQL, etc.) and experience analyzing complex data sets
· Working knowledge of Tableau, Microstrategy, QuickSight or equivalent data visualization solutions (PowerBI, Looker, etc.)
· Proven analytical and quantitative skills and an ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions, develop business cases and complete root cause analyses
· Experience applying statistical methods to solve business problems

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Experience building and analyzing models using various statistical tools for forecasting, analysis, and optimization
· Proficient in statistical programming languages such as R, Stata, or scientific computing packages in Python (e.g. scipy, statsmodels, pandas)
· Comfort/experience communicating and influencing across job levels with both internal and external partners
· Ability to push back, foresee potential issues, and advocate for improvement
· Ability to deal with ambiguity and shifting priorities
· Excellent analytical and mathematical skills
