About the job

This position is needed to support Twilio’s Phone Numbers Team to define and track the execution of our Phone Number strategy, through providing data and analysis for our products and services.

In this role, you’ll play a critical role in building internal data analytics to support our Product Management Team to extract business-critical insights and make decisions in every key aspect they need for their products, from design to go-to-market planning to revenue. 

The ideal candidate is comfortable managing data, identifying trends and developing tools to use and analyze data allowing to improve our team results.

Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll:

  • BE CURIOUS: find, collect, store and keep updated the data from different sources for all our business requirements, ensure its high quality, create and document processes and validators to guarantee this. You will manage the data governance of our data and its alignment with other team’s.
  • BE A BUILDER: develop and maintain tools that allow all the team to access, visualize, analyze, predict and make decisions based on the data collected. 
  • BE AN OWNER: Find solutions to hard problems to understand the data and what options exist. Monitor the data and alert the team when it’s required. Create and share targeted and effective recommended actions about the data analyzed.
  • BE A POSITRON: Provide analysis support on behalf of the Phone Numbers team in cross-functional strategic initiatives.

Required:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience analyzing data in support of business objectives
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience building and designing analytics solutions
  • Very strong SQL skills and proven track record of extracting raw data across many databases and many tables to build possibly many databases with high dimensionality and complexity informational success metrics
  • Fluency in Excel/Google Sheets and BI reporting tools (e.g. Tableau, Looker) to provide information in a digestible way to colleagues
  • Self-starter, highly motivated, able to shift directions quickly when priorities change, think through problems to come up with innovative solutions and deliver against very tight deadlines 
  • Able to work collaboratively and build trust with stakeholders through the analysis you’ve done
  • Ability to find the needle in a data haystack and concisely explain and present in simple language to leadership
  • Proficiency speaking and writing in English.

    Desired:
  • Experience developing robust ad-hoc reports that are easy to understand
  • Experience in creating supporting materials for an executive-level presentation
  • Proficient in Google Slides
  • Building data processing programs to analyze large amounts of data on a daily/weekly/monthly basis
  • You effectively identify and articulate implications up and downstream, taking action or escalating as appropriate
  • You are comfortable with ambiguity and 80/20 thinking to quickly tease through complexity and bring structure to chaos

Location 

This role will be based in our Bogota, Colombia office. 

This role will be remote.

Approximately 10% travel is anticipated.
