About the job

This position is needed to steward the marketing team toward key business performance indicators enabling us to detect, diagnose and remediate key changes in our marketing funnel performance and Martech stack.

This is a critical and strategic role in the marketing leadership team that helps speed and unlock marketing leadership decision making. The Marketing Strategy, Analytics, and Operations team supporting the Communications business is a cross-functional team across analytics, business intelligence, data science/engineering and operations.

Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll:

  • Lead and develop a world-class marketing analytics, strategy and operations team.
  • Own and iterate the measurement framework for Communications Marketing including defining key marketing metrics, and supporting experimentation design to ensure that data guides decision-making and prioritization of activities.
  • Be responsible for the team that analyzes data, distills insights and presents actionable findings that Marketing leadership can use to improve the performance of key programs.
  • Be responsible for the marketing technology ecosystem and working with key partners across Revenue Operations to maintain customer database hygiene and deliver uninterrupted lead flow to our Sales teams.
  • Have a bias for action as you partner with GTM, Product, and our marketing stakeholders to move from idea to execution and build a framework to measure the ensuing performance
  • Serve as a strategic thought partner to marketing and GTM leadership by surfacing ongoing insights, providing recommendations on areas for improvement, and identifying business growth levers.
  • Build analytical models for annual planning purposes to provide the business with proposed targets that will help with resourcing and budget decisions.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to align Marketing OKRs and Metrics with broader organizational goals.

Qualifications

Not all applicants will have skills that match a job description exactly. Twilio values diverse experiences in other industries, and we encourage everyone who meets the required qualifications to apply. While having “desired” qualifications make for a strong candidate, we encourage applicants with alternative experiences to also apply. If your career is just starting or hasn't followed a traditional path, don't let that stop you from considering Twilio. We are always looking for people who will bring something new to the table!

Required:

  • 10+ years of experience in marketing, operations and  analytics experience in a B2B or B2C environment.
  • Demonstrated success driving business strategy by empowering decision makers with data and insights, developing frameworks, and providing strategic thought partnership on overall marketing measurement.
  • Depth in Martech infrastructure, including database/lead management, data hygiene, system governance, scaling campaign launches, and integrations with first-party and third-party systems
  • Experience across multiple go-to-market motions: enterprise sales/account-based marketing (ABM), product-led growth, self-service and a partner-oriented co-sell motion.
  • Demonstrated experience in masterful data-driven storytelling. Able to communicate, influence and reason effectively across a global, matrixed organization.
  • Excellent organizational, prioritization and collaborative skills with proven experience in end-to-end project ownership across multiple teams.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, agile environment with proven adaptability to make decisions and developing new processes and/or workflows when needed.
  • Effective people-management and career development.  Strong focus on both EQ and IQ

Desired:

  • Deeply understand the methodologies for experimental precision, but also can defer to practical decision making frameworks for speed.
  • Leveraged AI/ML capabilities to drive predictive modeling exercises, such as churn and lead scoring
  • Leading a team of international resources, with GEO stakeholders,  and managing an offshore model
