Hello! We’re Babylon, a leading digital healthcare company.

Our mission is to make high-quality healthcare accessible and affordable for everyone on Earth. Building on the success of Babylon in the United Kingdom, Rwanda and Canada, we are building a 50-state provider network in the United States. We want to provide health services to the Medicaid population, who are often underserved and overlooked. Today, we cover over 3.5 million members in the US.

By shifting the focus from sick care to preventative care, we’re creating a better model of healthcare. One that combines AI-powered technology with the highest quality clinical expertise—so we can help people live healthier, longer lives. With over 2,000 global employees, we’ve brought together one of the largest teams of healthcare professionals, scientists, mathematicians and engineers.

Our talented team is looking to hire the best clinicians and operations talent to build and scale in the US. We’re driven by people whose ideas and energy align with our mission and our values: to dream big, build fast and be brilliant.

Babylon is hiring a Business Intelligence Analyst who will build the analytical and reporting infrastructure to enable us to understand and predict trends across our global operations and the product/technology that drives our digital service as we scale. This is not your typical Analyst role; dashboards, reports, deep dives and other analytical products will be used to deliver insight on tight timelines. You will develop a deep understanding of Babylon’s operations and technology to help drive your analytical solutions, and you must also be able to communicate the value of your work to different disciplines in order to embed your solutions in day-to-day business decisions.

You will work intimately across multiple operations, product and technical teams in order to help us scale our digital-first service to support millions of patients and serve as the analytical powerhouse behind core operational or product projects (from origination to implementation).

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

    • Build a data-driven culture through gold-standard reporting, analytical infrastructure, and stakeholder self service
    • Build a suite of reports and dashboards that will be used to power product and operations teams across the business
    • Mentor power business users on the use of Tableau and Looker to support self-service
    • Help build the foundational data infrastructure, models, and analytics platform to assist data-driven teams across the company
    • Develop a strong understanding of Babylon’s products and services in order to define appropriate metrics and key success indicators
    • Build clear and effective feedback loops to key areas of the business to provide valuable insights on operational/product opportunities
    • Help drive a culture of strong analytics and data-driven thinking across product and operations
    • Analyze and identify existing priority processes that need transforming or improvement, and then implement your findings.
    • Build the foundational processes that will enable us to scale nationally and continually optimize them for efficiency and experience
    • Optimize costs by improving our operational efficiency and reducing downstream healthcare costs
    • Improving health outcomes for our patients and delivering best-in-class experiences for patients, clinical professionals, and partners in care
    • Enabling Babylon's rapid growth into new markets and supporting the rollout of new products and services

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

    • 1-2+ years of business experience using SQL
    • 1-2+ years of experience using Tableau to build reporting dashboards and analyze data
    • Strong statistical understanding
    • Strong work ethic
    • Experience capturing and building analytical solutions to stakeholder requirements, across various levels of seniority and functions
    • Strong presentation and communication skills, with experience working in multi-disciplinary teams
    • You need to want to make a change now – this is less about creating an incredible strategy that will be implemented over the next 5 years, and more about processes that can change the business in the next 6 months.
    • Ability to take initiative in a constantly-changing work environment and adopt a generalist do-what-it-takes mindset.

NICE TO HAVE

    • Fundamentals in Python and R
    • Experience working in a startup culture
    • Numerical degree: Maths, Engineering, Science, Computer Science, Finance or related subjects
    • Experience working on end-to-end, cross-functional analytics projects
    • Experience building models and dashboards to tight timelines and embedding these in operations to inform real-time business decisions

WHAT WE OFFER

    • Competitive salary package including annual bonus scheme
    • Yearly training budget
    • Newly redesigned offices with a fun and engaging culture
    • Free snacks
    • Dog friendly office
    • Parking reimbursement
    • Accrued PTO of 20 days + public holidays
    • Competitive medical, dental and vision plans
    • Access to flexible spending account and health savings account
    • Competitive retirement plan, short term disability, long term disability and life cover
