The Business Intelligence Consultant will be responsible for the full life cycle of BI analytics including designing and developing data models, reports, and dashboards; data exploration; performing analysis; establishing and driving KPIs; and training end users. The role will require a strong partnership with the leadership team to monitor and measure our organization’s success and ensure data driven decision making.

This role is an Individual Contributor position with a high level of ownership and autonomy. We can consider candidates working remotely within the US or on-site from one of our US offices in New Orleans, New York, or Dallas. #LI-remote

Responsibilities

    • Identify, analyze, document and improve existing business processes and legacy reporting solutions
    • Work across entire business org to determine what critical, customer impacting problems can be solved with the use of various artificial intelligence techniques and to support new products and services
    • Partner with the leadership team to gather requirements and analyze Lucid's financial and operative KPIs
    • Design, develop, test and deploy BI solutions (data models, reports and dashboards)
    • Ensure data quality, completeness, and accuracy
    • Mentor and collaborate with BI support team
    • Troubleshoot and support existing business intelligence reports and dashboards

Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent work experience. 
    • 4+ years of related work experience in business intelligence, data warehousing, or a similar field.  
    • Strong SQL experience including advanced query concepts 
    • Proven analytical, problem solving, creative thinking and design skills
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team oriented environment
    • Open to thinking out of the box, is innovative, and can work with new and different artificial intelligence/intelligent computing paradigms.
    • Proven track record of managing BI solutions end-to-end, including requirements gathering with business users, collaboration with backend engineering, front end report development, technical documentation, and end-user training/roll out.
    • Knowledge of MS BI Reporting Stack (SSRS and Power BI) or similar technology

Bonus points if you have...

    • Experience with standard star schema design and development concepts, including fact table types, grain levels, and SCDs
    • Experience working with global remote teams
    • Have experience with Cloud technologies (AWS and Snowflake)
