A bit about this role:

 

Our Clinical Management team is the team at Devoted that develops and operates our clinical program in disease management, case management, and health and wellness. The Clinical Data Analyst will be responsible for bringing data-driven insight to these functions, helping to understand how our operations are performing, and how we can scale these operations to continue caring for members like family. We’re looking for someone who deeply cares about healthcare and knows how to measure health outcomes. This role will work within our clinical team and will report to our Manager for Clinical Development, helping us to understand how our members are doing and what we can do to help them. In addition, this role will help us build our clinical protocols into our world-class software system.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent attention to detail and accuracy and will enjoy rolling up their sleeves. You should be analytically oriented, ready to leverage data and quick problem solving to make effective decisions. You should love the puzzle of using data to answer questions and make pragmatic trade-offs between speed and rigor. Additionally, you should be comfortable taking ownership of your piece of the business and  have a desire to learn and take on more responsibility as you and your role evolve with Devoted.

Responsibilities will include:

• Analyzing and reporting of clinical operations such as disease management and case management, as well as general outreach efforts across multiple Devoted Health initiatives
• Analyzing the impact of clinical management programs and investments, using data to support recommendations on strategy decisions
• - Measuring key outcomes for campaigns or programs
• - Developing recommendations for what to scale and what to stop doing
• Reporting and dashboards related to the above
• Building models to target proactive outreach to help members stay healthy
• - Segmenting members based on engagement and sentiment and identify highest-impact groups for outreach
• - Querying member data to help operationalize outbound call or SMS campaigns
• Building of clinical protocols into our proprietary software using JSON
• Communicating results to an audience of mixed technical and clinical

Desired skills and experience:

• Excellent analytical skills and fluency in SQL
• Experience with JSON (or willingness to learn!)
• Comfortable using spreadsheets and other tools to build models to inform business decisions
• Experience with data visualization and dashboarding (such as Sisense)
• Fast learner, can pick up new content/industries quickly in an extremely fast-paced environment
• Self-starter and team player who can build relationships with a wide range of partners and approaches challenges with a can-do attitude; you’re self-reflective.

Strongly preferred:

• 3+ years of healthcare analytics experience
• Experience working with healthcare data
• Prior experience at a Medicare Advantage plan
