Job Summary:

Q-Centrix has been collecting and building high-value datasets for providers for over a decade, supporting dozens of disease areas and over 1200 hospitals and health systems. Q-Centrix is implementing a robust data infrastructure solution to further advance our mission of unlocking the value of clinical data – building innovative tools, analytics, and research initiatives for the healthcare ecosystem. As part of that journey, we’re hiring.

In this role, you’ll report to the SVP of Real-World Data to interpret clinical datasets across a range of conditions, from cardiovascular to surgery to cancer. This will be to support our customers broadly, in addition to helping to drive a more detailed understanding of the data we have and inform operational workflows.

Clinical data science will be a new discipline at Q-Centrix, and this role will help catalyze this functional area.

Essential Functions:

    • Supporting feasibility and creation of cohorts based on clinical criteria
    • Participating in the design of our next generation cross-disease data model
    • Help in designing and overseeing the development of data quality and control activities
    • Analyze the robustness of datasets, assessing the research value in different use cases
    • Help support “data usability” initiatives, including participating in the design and creation of a range of supporting materials for end-users of our datasets

Required Skills/Abilities:

    • 3-5 years working with life sciences, healthcare, or real-world data companies supporting analysis, biostats, outcomes research, etc.
    • Experience with relational database
    • Proficient in SQL and Python or R
    • You have a familiarity with EMR and/or other clinical datasets
    • You are comfortable researching clinical concepts and “translating” that to the data, with the support of clinical experts, abstraction experts, and our customers
    • You are comfortable with the ambiguity that comes from building new initiatives in established companies
    • You are able to identify problems and associated solutions in the context of a high-velocity, high volume data business
    • You are able to present analytical results and ideas to a range of technical and non-technical stakeholders
