As a Customer Insights Analyst, you will be instrumental in delivering analytical insights to our customers, driving our understanding of customer data needs and behaviors, and representing the customer voice within Thrive. This role requires a blend of analytical skills, stakeholder management, and an eye for improving and scaling processes.

As a team, we partner heavily with our Customer Success and Sales teams to ensure our customers have the data necessary to understand the effectiveness of our product, to develop data-informed well-being strategies, and to drive deeper research into the well-being space to reinforce the outcomes facilitated by our platform. You will be a core member of our team, leveraging your understanding of trends and outcomes to showcase the effectiveness of the Thrive platform for our customers.

How You'll Contribute:

  • Collaborate with other analysts to develop a holistic approach to meeting customer and stakeholder data needs, both day-to-day and as part of our long-term strategy

  • Identify, create, and own ways to automate, scale, and improve data processes (e.g. systems that help us build customer presentations quickly, better dashboards and data models)

  • Serve as a data subject-matter expert for Thrive’s customer success, sales, and product marketing teams as well as prospects and customers

  • Pursue projects that deepen our understanding of the employee well-being space and customer interests, with a focus on ways to improve our data offering to customers

  • Represent the customer voice and data interests to the broader Thrive team

Must Haves:

  • 3+ years of experience on a data team at a fast-paced startup environment

  • Clear demonstration of ownership in customer-facing and stakeholder management experience, such as in a consulting or B2B SaaS business

  • Ability to translate complex datasets into simple, actionable insights, in a format accessible to nontechnical audiences

  • Significant hands-on experience using and applying SQL, ideally with experience applying SQL transformations via dbt

  • Experience working with Python for both conducting data analysis/manipulation and building robust automation and processes, familiarity with modern data and engineering processes (e.g., working with SFTP, APIs, GitHub)

  • Hands-on experience maintaining or building automated systems and processes to meet consistent, recurring data needs

  • Experience with modern data stack tooling (data warehouses, BI, and data visualization tools). Hands-on experience with technologies like BigQuery, Looker and LookML, Spectacles a plus.
