The Data Analyst provides our customers, partners and internal stakeholders with insights and industry trends including the usage, health, and return on investment of the Olo platform.

This data analyst will partner with product, engineering, finance, marketing, sales and customer success and thus requires pivotal cross-functional leadership and collaboration across all levels of the business.

The right candidate is able to have a high level strategic conversation and can go deep into the technical analysis.  You can work remotely from anywhere in the U.S. or at Olo's headquarters in NYC on the 82nd floor of One World Trade Center.

What You’ll Be Doing

    • Provide insight into the value of the Olo platform using Olo's multiple data stores/sets, both internally (marketing, customer success, product, etc.) and externally (Customers and Partners) through product features and case studies. 
    • Fulfill regular and ad hoc reporting and insights requests across the organization as part of an internal service center, uncover data patterns and generate actionable insights for internal/external stakeholders, including helping measure impact of product features to Olo’s business
    • Work with the internal partners across Product, Engineering, Customer, Marketing, and Finance teams, help define and own such key SaaS business metrics as customer retention, customer conversion, customer lifetime value with key business partners
    • Partner with our teams to propose and develop new data products and tools, including data dashboards and models
    • Lead the evolution of data pipelines to support scalable business processes while maintaining reporting accuracy and operational timelines
    • Communicate findings to a wide range of internal/external business stakeholders through an approach that facilitates learning, prioritization, and action
    • Collaborate with other team members on increasing data literacy and culture internally and externally.
    • Act as an advocate for data integrity and quality
    • Ambitious analysts will have the opportunity of designing experiments and performing statistical analysis.

What We’ll Expect From You

    • Bachelor’s Degree 
    • 3+ years of experience in data analytics or business intelligence
    • Strong SQL experience
    • Experience with Excel or Google Sheets
    • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced work environment
    • Passion for analyzing data to find meaningful insights and speaking to them
    • Outstanding ability to thoughtfully explain problems and resolutions, comfortable with creating proper documentations for work
    • Top-notch communication and the ability to educate a range of stakeholders, from individual contributors to senior management and executives
    • US citizen or Permanent Resident

Nice to Have

    • Experience of working for a SaaS and/or marketplace organization
    • ​​Experience with common data programming languages (e.g. Python, R, etc.) and  related data science libraries 
    • Experience with BI/data visualization tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau or PowerBI)
    • Restaurant industry experience
    • Experience working in an Agile environment
    • Working knowledge of statistics, regression, time series forecasting, etc.
    • Working knowledge of stored procedure
    • R or Python programming experience
    • Working experience with A/B test experimentation and ability to understand key statistics to help drive product development
    • Knowledge / experience with Lookml, dbt or a related semantic data layer a plus
    • Experience in Salesforce, Zendesk, Jira, Asana a plus.
