We are experiencing tremendous momentum, and are expanding our team. Our Data Analyst (or Sr. Analyst, depending on experience) is a highly strategic hire, and will sit in our data solutions organization

Our Data Analyst will leverage their quantitative and technology skill sets to help continually refine and improve our existing product suites through iterative testing and reporting. This position will be essential in building and deploying the reporting system that will track the volume and health of our various data feeds and products. This position will also have a role in creating the next generation of our data products and methodologies through analytical prototyping, deep exploratory analysis, and pilot client engagements. The analyst will participate in cross-functional interfacing with our client success, data operations, and product and engineering teams to align analytic requirements and fulfill customer ad hoc requests as needed.

Our Data Analyst can sit anywhere in the US or Mexico City

General Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in quantitative field (comp sci, physics, math, etc.); masters degree a plus
  • 1-2 years hands-on experience in big data; analytics; experience in the ad/mar:tech industry is a big plus
  • Fluent in English, both verbal and written
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Professional attitude and continual willingness to go the extra mile to delight the customer Strong organization skills with the ability to multitask projects from start to finish
  • Excellent critical thinking and ability to understand real-world problems, and apply data and quant skills to solve them

Essential Technical Skills

  • Strong SQL experience with a deep understanding of aggregate functions and various join types
  • Experience with Python3 and associated analytical solutions like scikit, pandas, pyspark
  • Experience writing code in a notebook interface (Jupyter, Databricks, etc)
  • Experience using and deploying dashboards with self-service reporting tools (Tableau, Amazon Quicksight, etc)
  • Experience working with petabytes of data and the associated challenges
  • Experience querying large datasets for purposes of producing summary data and/or generating new data sets (ETL)
  • Ability to concisely visualize and explain characteristics of large datasets to a non-technical audience

Preferred Technical Skills

  • Experience with Apache Spark, Databricks Notebooks, mlflow
  • Experience with various file types (csv, parquet, JSON) as well as potentially complex or nested column types (arrays, structs, etc)
  • Fluent in Scala and associated analytical libraries
  • Experience with Data Lake architecture
  • Strong AWS experience with S3, Athena, CloudFormation
  • Experience with Mobile (iOS/Android) technologies like SDKs, IDFAs/AAIDs, etc.
  • Experience with data science and machine learning techniques across predictive modeling, classification, test/control measurement (ancova, panel-based measurement), population/census weighting, stratified sampling, etc.
  • Familiarity with data and infrastructure monitoring and alerting tooling
