As a Data Operations Analyst, you will drive transparency, insights, and key decision-making across our data supply and demand. Our Data Operations team is responsible for the successful delivery, monitoring, troubleshooting, and quality of the data we ingest and deliver to our clients. You will be a key member to create reporting frameworks that bring transparency and actionable insights to our data systems.

What you’ll do

Partner with data operations and other internal team members to ensure a delightful experience for our customers by:

  • Identifying KPIs, developing reports/dashboards, drawing and delivering key metrics & insights to broader teams with actionable recommendations.
  • Running opportunistic data experiments to find accretive outcomes such as operational efficiencies, supply chain optimization, or cost savings.
  • Analyzing data from multiple sources to ensure data quality.
  • Independently spearheading data management, client reporting, and problem resolution through the use of dashboards and other daily, weekly, monthly reporting.
  • Troubleshooting errors quickly and communicating to client-facing teams to work with existing partners.
  • Assisting in troubleshooting operational issues as they surface; proposing changes to systems and processes to fix root causes.
  • Leveraging SQL, Python, and other visualization tools (e.g., Chartio, Looker, PowerBI, Tableau) to ensure data democratization and transparency throughout the organization from sales to marketing to executive leadership.
  • Evaluating and implementing operational procedures and processes.
  • Ensuring the entire “system” of data is running smoothly - from data ingested, to inside TrueData, to exporting data to clients.
  • Preparing ad hoc analyses to evaluate business impact for changes to data volumes and to support initiatives.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Fluent in English, both verbal and written
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Have a professional attitude and continual willingness to go the extra mile to delight the customer (internal or external)
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask projects from start to finish
  • Experience working with petabytes of data and challenges associated with it
  • Strong SQL experience
  • Strong experience with Python3, scikit, pandas
  • Strong AWS experience with S3, Athena, CloudFormation
  • Familiarity with data privacy and regulatory constraints
  • Strong experience with self-service reporting tools like Tableau and Chartio
  • Strong data acumen for assessing data quality
  • Familiarity with data and infrastructure monitoring and alerting tooling
  • Familiarity with advertising industry is a plus
