Data Analysts work to help develop solutions, code and reports which solve the questions most pressing to the TV and media industry. A Data Analyst must be able to analyze big data and have the skills to flexibly work on a variety of tasks to maintain project success. The Data Analyst will be responsible for: improving methods and efficiencies across the team, developing code daily, creating reports, managing projects, and cross team collaboration.

Responsibilities include:

  • Coding original R/Python/Spark scripts as well as optimizing current scripts daily;
  • Applying or adapting statistical methods to new problems, and developing new tools as needed;
  • Flexibly working on a variety of different externally facing client projects over the course of a week;
  • Working independently or collaboratively on large and complex data science problems;
  • Developing reports to convey analytics findings to a client facing audience;
  • Working with sales leads to build new business opportunities
  • 2+ years work experience in comparable field and a Bachelors or Masters degree (or equivalent work experience);
  • Strong coding ability; 2+ years coding experience with 1+ years specifically in R or Python;
  • Experience implementing machine learning or statistical methods to solve complex problems;
  • Strong understanding and application of statistics, logic, and problem solving;
  • Strict integrity working with confidential, private, and high-value client information;
  • Intellectual flexibility to adapt existing tools, algorithms, methods to new needs;
  • Ability to balance workload across a variety of different projects over the course of a week;
  • Experience manipulating multiple big data sets;
  • Strong oral and written communication skills to interpret and translate results to a variety of technical and non-technical audiences through reports and internal, external, and client-facing presentations;


Preferred Skills

  • Previous experience with Spark;
  • Experience working in data science in the television or digital marketing industry;
  • Experience adapting, implementing, and scaling various machine learning techniques;
  • Master's degree in a quantitative field;
  • Experience designing and analyzing experiments;
  • Experience analyzing high-dimensional time series or event stream data
