Responsibilities:

• Leverage qualitative investigations with quantitative tools to create high value data sets on topics such as illicit networks, revenue evasion, and trade integrity.
• Distill signal from large-scale data and produce concise analysis to communicate findings.
• Collaborate with engineers to automate investigative methodologies through machine learning.
• Learn and use technical platforms such as SQL, Python, AWS, APIs; applying these technologies to international trade.
• Interact with government officials, insurers, finance professionals, and brand-protection security teams and to create custom solutions to hard problems.

A strong candidate will have the following:

• 3+ years conducting analysis or education equivalent
• Ability to operate in an unstructured research environment
• Skills in creative and strategic thinking
• Strong communication and writing ability, foreign language skills are a plus 
• Familiarity with technical platforms, databases, or statistical software
