Responsibilities:

• Leverage quantitative tools to create and curate high value datasets on global supply chain activity, international trade transactions, and corporate ownership networks; produce concise analysis and communicate findings.
• Learn and use technical platforms such as SQL, Python, AWS, APIs, applying these technologies to global supply chain and international trade data.
• Collaborate with Altana Solutions Managers, Data Scientists, and Software Engineers to prototype and automate investigative methodologies through machine learning.
• Interact with corporate leaders, government officials, insurers, and finance professionals, to deliver tailored solutions to hard problems.

A strong candidate will have the following:

• 1-2 years experience conducting quantitative analysis
• Ability to operate in an unstructured research environment
• Demonstrated skills in creative and strategic thinking
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities
• Baseline familiarity with technical platforms, databases, or statistical software 
• Commitment to an inclusive corporate culture
• Foreign language skills are a plus
