We’re hiring our first Data Analyst to work with large datasets (we collect 10M data points / day) to drive measurable business impact. Your work will inform where our Growth engineering team should invest experimentation efforts to drive core business metrics, such as signups, activation and retention. You’ll be a key owner of reporting, metrics, and data processes, and work to increase data accuracy and accessibility across the company.

- Has a growth mindset, excited to learn new libraries / technologies, but is thoughtful about tradeoffs between different tools and whether they are solving the right problems for our team and for our users
- Incredibly collaborative, interested in working cross-team and can explain complex solutions/problems clearly and succinctly
What you'll be doing
- Identify and analyze usage and persona patterns of most engaged users, translate that analysis into a sustained program to increase engagement
- Use analytics to better understand scientists’ pain points and needs and identify product and sales opportunities
- Propose A/B tests to run based on user activity and behaviour analysisPropose onboarding optimizations to activate users
- Own funnel dynamics, trials, revenue, and churn reporting. Perform root cause analyses to understand movement and stagnation in key areas of the funnel and core business and user metrics
- Build and maintain dashboards for product and revenue teams, working closely with internal teams to gather and deliver on requirements
- Perform detailed analysis on the business and our users on a regular and ad-hoc basis
What you bring to the table
- 2 years of data analysis experience in a fast-paced environment, working with large datasets and ambiguous data
- Ability to write, debug, and analyze complex SQL queries
- Python and/or R fluency and experience with libraries like pandas and numpy
- Understanding and practice in statistical methods to help with experimentation analysis and discovery analytics
