Code.org® is a nonprofit dedicated to expanding access to computer science in schools and increasing participation by young women and students from other underrepresented groups. Our vision is that every student in every school has the opportunity to learn computer science as part of their core K-12 education. JOB SUMMARY
The Research, Evaluation, and Data Team is a small, collaborative unit that serves the analytics needs of the organization. Every member of the team contributes to, and collaborates on:
• Data products - Creating and maintaining reports, ad hoc reporting, visualizations, and tools; developing key insights for almost all teams at the organization including leadership.
• Data analytics infrastructure - Designing, building, and maintaining database tables for the organization’s key metrics and analyses.
• Data analysis - working closely with internal and external partners to advise, define and implement metrics and processes for the technical implementation of data collection, analysis, and data presentation.
The ideal candidate is someone who’s passionate and excited about our mission, working on a small team, doing a little bit of everything, digging into data, and making sense of it all; someone with tremendous curiosity for finding answers with data.
WHAT IS THE INTERVIEW PROCESS LIKE?
Step 1: Informational Interview - learn more about the role and share your experience (~30 minutes)
Step 2: Homework: (1) SQL (2) data analysis and visualization (3 hours)
Step 3: Interviews with several members of the Code.org team (~ 3 hours)
Step 4: Final Interview + Meet & Greet with 2-3 members of the Code.org team (~1.5 hours)
Step 5: Reference Checks
All interviews are currently being conducted virtually via Google Meet
