The Research, Evaluation, and Data (RED) Team is a small, collaborative unit that serves the business analytics needs of the organization. As a small team, roles have lanes of emphasis, but every member of the team contributes to and collaborates on the data products we make, the analytics infrastructure we operate from, and the analyses we do.
The Data Analytics Engineer works as a member of our team with their primary focus on improving and developing our analytics platform and infrastructure. We are looking for a person who is excited about the challenge of shaping our growing analytics operations and data culture. Our organization is committed to becoming more data-driven across all departments and this role is key to establishing a strong foundation to support and enable that change.
The analytics engineer will be primarily responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of our analytics platform, building upon our existing ELT pipelines to optimize them for analytical purposes. The person in this role would be our resident expert in modeling data and designing transformation workflows to provide clean, accurate datasets so that different users within the company can work with them, especially the other members of the RED team doing analysis work. This person would also be the key liaison between the RED team and our engineering infrastructure team to advocate for data engineering needs.
The ideal candidate is someone who’s passionate and excited about our mission, working on a small team, and relishes the opportunity to envision and build up our analytics operations.
