As a Data Analyst on a growing Data and Insights team, you will play a crucial role in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to provide valuable insights that will drive key business decisions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand their data needs, develop and maintain data pipelines, and deliver reports and visualizations that facilitate data-driven decision-making across the organization.

We constantly evaluate new technologies and tools to ensure we stay ahead of the curve, but here’s what we’re currently using in our day-to-day work in Data at Mothership.

What You’ll Do

    • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into actionable insights and reports. Provide data-driven recommendations to optimize processes, improve performance, and enhance overall business operations
    • Conduct in-depth analysis to identify trends, patterns, and correlations within the data. Use statistical methods and data visualization tools to present findings in a clear and understandable manner
    • Create intuitive and interactive dashboards and reports using data visualization tools to facilitate data exploration and decision-making
    • Communicate complex analytical findings, insight, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences effectively; asynchronously and in meetings and presentations
    • Create and maintain ELT data pipelines
    • Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and reliability through data cleansing, preprocessing, and testing techniques
    • Establish and enforce data quality standards and perform regular data quality checks to ensure the accuracy and reliability of the data
    • Continuously enhance data analysis processes, methodologies, and tools to streamline data workflows and increase efficiency
    • Ensure compliance with data security and privacy regulations, and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information

Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or related fields
    • Proven experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar role
    • Strong proficiency in data analysis tools and languages
    • Solid understanding of statistical concepts and data analysis techniques
    • Hands-on experience with data visualization tools
    • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts, data cleaning, and transformation techniques; hands-on experience with ELT tools is a plus
    • Proficiency in working with complex datasets and databases, both internal (e.g., Product and Operations data) and external (e.g., Third-party data and platforms )
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills enabling effective collaboration with cross-functional teams, including Product, Sales, GTM, Operations, and more
    • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and identify strategic trade-offs in a fast-paced environment
    • Knowledge of machine learning, predictive modeling, and/or other statistical modeling (e.g., regression, classification, NLP) is a plus

$86,000 - $116,000 a year
At Mothership, we believe it's vital to offer a range of compensation packages, so you have the power to make the appropriate financial decision for yourself and your family. Upon offer, you will receive a breakdown of 3 different cash vs. equity packages to choose from, with additional information on estimated equity valuation. 

We offer equity in the form of ISOs (Incentive Stock Options) that vest over four years with a one-year cliff. The % and value will be discussed later in the interview process.
