The Impact Data Analyst seeks empirical answers to essential questions about Amplify’s curriculum products. Are students succeeding? How is success evaluated? Under what conditions are students most successful? What is the correlation between implementation practices and student outcomes?

The Impact Data Analyst will query, analyze and report on data in Amplify’s data warehouse systems to address questions around student success and measure statistical significance of employing products and services on student outcomes. 

Responsibilities of the Impact Data Analyst

  • Data Exploration and Analysis: Use statistical tools and techniques to explore and analyze data, identifying patterns, relationships, and trends.

  • Data Visualization: Create visual representations of data findings through charts, graphs, and dashboards to make the data understandable at a glance.

  • Reporting: Prepare reports and presentations to communicate the insights and findings from the data to stakeholders, which can influence policy and decision-making processes.

  • Collaboration: Work with other departments often to understand their data needs and help them make informed decisions based on data insights.

  • Collect, compile, analyze, and report data from various data sources, including a large data warehouse.

  • Work with data scientists, curriculum developers, and measurement scientists to develop and implement methods for measuring student success.

  • Partner with customer success representatives to understand customer data needs and devise reporting and analysis solutions.

  • Contribute data analyses to reports, case studies, and white papers, for internal consumption by Amplify staff and external customers.

  • Gather data from primary and secondary sources, ensuring the upkeep of databases and data systems.

  • Detect, examine, and decode trends or patterns within intricate datasets.

  • Coordinate with management to align business and informational priorities.

  • Identify opportunities for process enhancements.

  • Employ statistical techniques to scrutinize data and produce actionable business insights.

  • Collaborate with the management team to determine and rank priority projects

  • Develop data dashboards, charts, and visual aids to support decision-making across departments.

  • Convey insights through both reports and visual presentations.

  • Partner with engineering and product development teams to understand business requirements.

  • Engage with managers from various departments to specify data requirements for analysis projects tailored to their unique business processes

Basic Qualifications of the Impact Data Analyst:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 5+ years of data analyst or related experience

  • Coursework in basic statistics and/or econometrics and research methods.

  • Experience in the analysis of secondary data sets from the social sciences. 

  • Experience working with tools for quantitative research and statistics passages, with a preference for experience with R.

  • Experience using data visualization tools, including Looker.

Preferred Qualifications of the Impact Analyst: 

  • Proficiency with statistical packages, such as SAS, STATA, MPlus, R and coding languages such as SQL and Python.

  • Strong writing skills in English.

  • Strong presentation skills.

Compensation:
 
 The hourly rate range for this role is $45-$55.
