Job Purpose:

Demandbase is looking for a Revenue Operations Data Analyst who is detail oriented, passionate about data quality and comfortable working with large data sets. This is an individual contributor internship focused on data governance and helping to optimize processes to ensure data hygiene. You will be working across teams (Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, Product) to QA and troubleshoot data, streamline and simplify data governance policies and measure the impact of high quality data across the organization.

What you’ll be doing: 

  • Provide day-to-day data quality and troubleshooting support across our entire Data stack
  • Perform data validation to assure integrity, accuracy and consistency, identify the root cause of data inconsistencies and process defects, and implement timely corrective actions
  • Automate data collection and aggregation processes 
  • Collaborate with other team members in Revenue Marketing, Sales and Customer Success to provide statistics or business data that can help drive business insights
  • Work with subject matter experts and Data/ Business Analysts to understand business questions, processes, and related data
  • Work with 3rd-party vendors to help validate and standardize data
  • Create documentation for research, standards, guidelines, best practices for all of our internal processes
  • Ensure continued operational excellence by establishing and maintaining standards, while executing on a wide range of tasks
  • Help to enhance, optimize, and document our marketing automation processes to effectively scale execution, reporting and testing practices

What we’re looking for:

  • 1-2 years of experience in marketing operations or a role working with large data sets
  • Previous hands-on experience in data quality assurance and/or software development 
  • Strong Excel skills (including pivot tables, vlookups, VBA scripting etc) and SQL skills are essential; knowledge of at least 1 scripting language for data analysis (Python, R) is a nice to have. 
  • Previous hands-on experience with a CRM system such as Salesforce and a Marketing Automation Platform such as Marketo/Hubspot/Salesforce Marketing Cloud/Eloqua 
  • Detail Oriented - you’re highly organized and think about the downstream effects of data alteration
  • High Resilience and Excellent communication skills 
  • Willingness to dive in head first, not afraid to raise your hand to try something outside your role
  • The Fun Part - you’re excited about jumping into a complex MarTech stack and dream about how you can utilize all the data to aid your day-to-day execution
