What you'll do:

  • Understand the vision/roadmap for “technology” data product, lead discovery process to identify the business requirements and the expected outcomes
  • Own, Drive & Build the next generation “technology” knowledge base, taxonomies, company to tech-used mappings, technology categorizations  
  • Provide guidance to product and engineering teams for high-level data research, benchmarking, analysis and data modeling 
  • Study the market to map appropriate technology product vendors, partners, consumers, competitors and validate technology platforms/tools through its evolution
  • Take complete ownership of "technographics" knowledge creation, data strategies, integrations, cross team dependencies, to understand the nuances of data features and the impact of data quality on user experience.
  • Manage team of 4-8 junior and senior research analysts. Drive the team to make the best decisions possible based on information available during primary and secondary research
  • As a lead, strive to create a high performing team, manage team performance, deliverables and completion of quarterly OKRs or goals. 
  • Remove data research impediments raised by the team and ensure data quality is built into everything the team does as defined by the definition of done 
  • Work closely with product management, data engineering and professional services teams to understand customer challenges, product enhancements
  • Building data products at scale has unique challenges and the features take time to mature. Envision how to measure success of data product, design methodology to evaluate performance and improve data quality

Education:

  • BE /  MCA  degree preferred in Computer Science / Information Technology or equivalent discipline 
  • MBA with only relevant technology research experience

Experience:

  • 7+ years of experience (2 years leading the team) 
  • Proven experience leading team of market research, competitor analysis
  • Strong experience in building primary databases, data collection following best practices in primary/secondary research
  • Broad knowledge of technology landscape, adoption, emerging trends for companies and industry verticals  
  • Well versed with emerging technologies, paradigms in AI, Cloud, Digital, Health, Fintech, Enterprise IT, Information Security and Open Source
  • Strong experience in business analysis, requirements gathering and planning 
  • Knowledge of best practices :  Data aggregation, ETL , Data modeling  
  • Working knowledge in Data Analytics, Reporting and  SQL
  • As an SME, be well versed with US/Global marketplace, market intelligence, technology and products space
