Who We Are Looking For

Thrive Causemetics is hiring a Data Analytics Engineer to join our data and analytics team. We’re building a next generation data infrastructure and we are looking for a Data Analytics engineer who sits at a cross-section of strong data analyst skills and last mile ETL pipeline skills. #LI-Remote

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Support Data Engineers with Data Engineering tasks such as creating pipelines and last `mile ETL/ELT
    • Providing clean, transformed data that is ready to be piped to our BI tool for downstream use by teams like product, Growth Marketing, CRM, Finance, Operations
    • Creating, maintaining, and repairing dashboards in our BI tool 
    • Setting up and maintaining timely and reliable ingestion of external data sources via our data loading platforms
    • Analyze business requirements for complex projects
    • Establish DevOps procedures for ETL, BI applications, and infrastructure as code
    • Analytics Platform migration support from legacy systems to AWS Cloud
    • Develop proof of concepts of new technologies and evaluate state of the art in large-scale data processing
    • Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills to explain and document ideas

EXPERIENCE NECESSARY

    • SQL. As a primary language, you should be fluent and well versed in SQL to write code that performs window functions, creates materialized views, and takes advantage of common data warehousing specific optimizations 
    • Some Python. Ability to write and read basic Python, especially use of Pandas for some data augmentation that is not available in SQL 
    • Experience with AWS suite. Specifically, writing to/pulling data from Redshift. S3 and experience with ingestion from Kinesis are helpful. 
    • Previous experience with a BI tool (e.g., Periscope, Looker, Tableau)

NICE TO HAVES

    • Interaction with software development practices, especially CI/CD
    • Experience with Airflow
    • Machine Learning work experience (i.e., “simple” models like linear and logistic regression)
    • Experience with more advanced statistical testing (e.g., Chi, Kruskal-Wallis, et al.)

As required by C.R.S. 8-5-201(2): (Colorado only) The minimum pay for this role is $70,900. Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, certifications and specific office location. This may differ in other locations due to cost of labor considerations.
