About the Role
We’re looking for a mission-driven leader to build our Data & Analytics practice from the ground up. You will oversee all aspects of data operations at Trust & Will (data engineering, business intelligence, data science, analysis, and insights). You will shape the analytics strategy and roadmap - you will lead and empower our entire company to make impactful, data-driven decisions. 

You will work closely with product, marketing, partnerships, finance, sales teams as well as the Chief of Staff. You will be responsible for delivering insights and data solutions designed to optimize performance across those teams. You will continuously surface opportunities for product experience enhancements, as well as ways to improve our profitability.

About You

    • BSc degree in data / engineering / analytics
    • 5+ years in a data & analytics functions (bonus points for working closely with product and marketing teams) 
    • Prior experience setting strategy for data & analytics in fast-growth settings
    • Demonstrated experience in bringing together personnel and building teams with data analytics, reporting, and warehousing skills, guiding them through successful execution and delivery
    • Demonstrated familiarity with the vendors and services in a modern analytics tech stack
    • Must be highly proficient in working with cloud-based data warehousing solutions (Redshift)
    • Must be highly proficient in SQL
    • Must be highly proficient in business intelligence platforms (specifically Tableau)
    • Experience with LTV models and how they are used in evaluating the health of the business
    • Experience interpreting and communicating results from A/B tests
    • Experience in analyzing user behavior and how it relates to customer retention
    • Experience in analyzing marketing performance across both digital and traditional channels

You Will

    • Gather requirements from business stakeholders (product, marketing, finance, sales) and effectively translate them into a data environment that supports business needs
    • Have the opportunity to build a modern analytics stack from scratch
    • Demonstrate subject matter expertise in navigating varied data types and orchestrating most effective ways to improve on-going business and product decision-making
    • Work cross-functionally with all team leads across the company to drive data-centric decisions
    • Develop analytics and measurement standards for tracking the health of established KPIs and product initiatives based on best practices
    • Start out as an individual contributor, scale with company over time to grow the Data & Analytics team 
    • Proactively identifies challenges and new opportunities as it relates to data infrastructure, tools, and processes such as generating insights from user data across each step of the conversion funnel or overseeing the design and maintenance of data warehouses and data lakes

    • In your first 30 days, you will:
    • Set a strategic direction for a data & analytics function at Trust & Will
    • Roll up your sleeves and start executing on the set direction

Technical Experience

    • Experience with Heap Analytics
    • Experience with FiveTran
    • Creating database transformations
    • Experience with Google Analytics
    • Experience with R or Python
    • Experience with DBT
