The data and analytics team at Trust & Will exists to enable & empower all of our teams in making informed business decisions through accurate reporting and relevant insights. We’re looking for a mission-driven leader to build our Data & Analytics practice. Through gaining  a deep understanding of our business needs, this critical position will partner with the Head of Operations to shape our analytics roadmap that will support strategic business initiatives. They will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to understand and maintain focus on their analytical needs (including identifying critical metrics and KPIs, and delivering actionable insights), provide and manage our self service analytics capabilities by working with data engineers to ensure that our data is clean and accessible, and perform ad hoc analysis as needed. 

By leveraging your expertise in analytics, your skills in communication, your passion for optimization, data storytelling, and data visualization, you will be responsible for surfacing analytical insights to  drive informed change across the organization. You will start out as an individual contributor and have the opportunity to scale with the company and  grow the Data & Analytics team. 

About the Role:

    • Establish & maintain a deep business understanding of cross-functional business goals in order to create relevant analysis & insights.
    • Gather requirements from business stakeholders (execs, team leads, and team members) and effectively translate them into compelling and intuitive dashboards to enable stakeholders with critical metrics, focusing on anomaly detection and actionable data reporting that meet stakeholder expectations. 
    • Complete ad-hoc requests for analysis and reporting by connecting to diverse data sources, implementing the appropriate method of analysis, and offering recommendations utilizing multiple types of data, business knowledge, and strategic assumptions when data doesn’t exist.
    • Design and run data-driven tests and experiments that identify business opportunities and compare performance against company goals.
    • Structure large data sets to find useful information.
    • Develop analytics and measurement standards for tracking the health of established KPIs, as well as working with teams to establish new KPIs based on best practices, contributing to the development of hypotheses and actions for the business metrics 
    • Proactively identify challenges and new opportunities as it relates to data infrastructure, tools, and team processes. 
    • Effectively deliver and communicate recommendations to internal stakeholders and senior leadership
    • Actively participate in cross-functional initiatives by collaborating with team members to measure and achieve success

Qualifications:

    • 5+ years in data & analytics functions including experience with customer analytics techniques such as segmentation, churn prediction, cohort analysis, etc. as well as, experience in advanced analytics methodologies such as experimentation and testing, including A/B testing tools and concepts.
    • Prior experience setting strategy for data & analytics in fast-growth settings
    • Demonstrated subject matter expertise in navigating varied data types and orchestrating the most effective ways to improve ongoing business and product decision-making
    • Demonstrated experience in bringing together personnel and building teams with data analytics, reporting, and warehousing skills, guiding them through successful execution and delivery
    • Must be 
    • Experience in Google Analytics 
    • Must be highly proficient in SQL 
    • Must be highly proficient in business intelligence platforms (bonus points for experience with Thoughtspot) 

Bonus Points for:

    • Working with cloud-based data warehousing and database  solutions (Snowflake, MongoDB, Postgres) 
    • Python experience
    • DBT(Data Build Tool) 
    • Experience with ETL and ELT
    • Experience or interest in data science
    • BS degree in data, engineering, analytics, finance, economics, general business, and other math-related degrees
