About the job
This position is needed to build and maintain critical data processing software & reports. They will design and build critical databases that help them manage and store important data for operations. They will work closely with other data professionals and members of the Tech Services team to design and implement actionable reporting providing insights to areas of opportunity and customer sentiment. Their job is to use their knowledge of different programming languages to code and update data systems and automate data analytics and reporting for the organization.
Due to the company's rapid growth caused by mergers and acquisitions this role is vital to ensuring we have the foundation that data and analytics can provide.
Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll:
Assembling large, complex sets of data that meet non-functional and functional business requirements
Identifying, designing and implementing internal process improvements including re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, optimizing data delivery, and automating manual processes
Building required infrastructure for optimal extraction, transformation and loading of data from various data sources using AWS and SQL technologies
Building analytical tools to utilize the data pipeline, providing actionable insight into key business performance metrics including operational efficiency and customer acquisition
Working with stakeholders including data, design, product and executive teams and assisting them with data-related technical issues
Working with stakeholders including the Executive, Support, Product, Data and Design teams to support their data infrastructure needs while assisting with data-related technical issues

Required:
5 years experience building Microsoft Power BI reporting
Ability to build and optimize data sets, ‘big data’ data pipelines and architectures
Ability to perform root cause analysis on external and internal processes and data to identify opportunities for improvement and answer questions
Excellent analytic skills associated with working on unstructured datasets
Ability to build processes that support data transformation, workload management, data structures, dependency and metadata
Leverage data systems and databases to pull data regarding customer service, KPIs, customer insights and employee performance
Build actionable Power BI reporting and story books that meet business needs and requirements
Building Analysis Services reporting models.
Developing visual reports, KPI scorecards, and dashboards using Power BI desktop.
Connecting data sources, importing data, and transforming data for Business intelligence.

Ability to demonstrate understanding and experience using software and tools including big data tools like…
Kafka/S3 and Presto engine experience
Presto SQL engine, Looker or Tableau for BI
relational NoSQL and SQL databases
workflow management and pipeline tools such as Airflow, Luigi and Azkaban
AWS close services include Redshift, RDS, EMR and EC2
stream-processing systems like Spark-Streaming and Storm
object function/object-oriented scripting languages including Scala, C++, Java and Python.
Location
This role will be remote in the USA.
Approximately 10% travel is anticipated.

The estimated pay range for this role, based in Colorado, is $87,360 - $137,280
Non-Sales: Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Twilio's equity plan.
The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location within the state. This role is also eligible to participate in Twilio’s equity plan and for the following benefits: health care insurance, 401(k) retirement account, paid sick time, paid personal time off, paid parental leave.
