The Role: 

As a data developer on Bevy’s data and analytics team, you will play a key role in building data infrastructure, automating efficient collection and movement of data, and creating and validating data models and dashboards used by our customers and our colleagues.  Our team embodies Bevy’s commitment to community.  We value collaboration, trust, and teamwork.

What you will do: 

  • Build/maintain data infrastructure (data pipelines, aggregated data sets, automated data validation).
  • Actively and consistently improve our processes with a focus on automation, scalability, security, privacy, and business- and end-user experience.
  • Model complex data from our platforms and 3rd party integrations to create validated and trusted data sets to be used in analytics and data science products.
  • Contribute to process automation and dashboard development for our BI platform Looker.
  • Have an analytical mindset and the desire to understand the business context of data.
  • Be creative, solve hard problems, and grow with us!

What we are looking for:

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree or substantial coursework in Computer Science, Engineering, or another quantitative field.
  • You have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • You’re also fluent in SQL and Python.
  • You have worked in a data team for at least 1-2 years in building pipelines, creating data models, and querying and manipulating complex data sets.
  • You have experience developing data pipelines using SQL and Python-based ETL.
  • You have worked in an Agile environment and are familiar with Git workflows.
  • You’ve worked with cloud-based data warehouses like Redshift or BigQuery.
  • You have experience with automated data ingestion from APIs.
  • You care deeply about data quality, privacy, and security.
  • Familiarity with dbt, Looker, and Airflow is a big plus.
