We're looking for a Data Engineer (Remote) 

The Data Engineer works on the back-end of our platform, focused on building data pipelines that power our Job, Company and other search, recommendation and personalization services. This work is often done with SQL andPython. So, knowledge in them is required. All Data Engineers should follow our engineering standards, including a commitment to unit-testing and to SOLID design principles.

How you'll contribute

• Own Built In’s Data Pipeline transforming raw events and application data into analytical insights
• Collaborate with other members of the engineering team, whether as a mentor or a mentee through open discussions and pair-programming
• Be an individual contributor focused on designing and implementing technical solutions
• Advocate for removal of technical debt balanced with adding new features, to scale the system in stable and robust manner
• Learn new technologies to help yourself and the team grow professionally
• Support other engineering teams shaping together our service-oriented architecture

What you need

• 1-3 years of experience within the field of data engineering or related technical work
• Strong experience with SQL is required. 
• Experience with Python, understanding of Docker is a plus.
• Experience with data warehousing and ETL tools is a plus. We use Snowflake, Airflow and dbt so knowledge of these technologies is a plus.
• Exposure to and commitment to principles of automated testing
• Experience with Git
