The Role & Mission
As a data engineer you will be responsible for maintaining and operating the data warehouse and connecting in Apollo’s data sources. You will surface the data in a visualization tool and build innovative data & analytics functionality that drives Apollo’s strategy and is core to our success.

Role & Responsibilities
• Create and maintain tools supporting self-service data pipeline management
• Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources
• Build and maintain data pipelines from internal databases and SaaS applications
• Write maintainable, performant code
• Collaborate with other teams to ensure data needs are addressed
• Maintain and expand data infrastructure for the business at scale
• Maintain our data warehouse with timely, high quality data
Skills & Relevant Experience
Required:
• Experience in data modeling, data warehousing, and building ETL pipelines
• Experience with Self Service technologies like Looker (preferred) or Tableau, Quick Sight etc and previous experience with Data Warehouse technologies
• Deep knowledge of data warehousing and Business Intelligence with an ability to collaborate cross functionally
• Familiarity with ML technologies
• Strong business understanding of Business Intelligence & Reporting, knowledge in Operations and Finance area is a plus
• Experience using various data stores (Postgresql)
Preferred:
• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (Physical / Computer Science, Engineering or Mathematics / Statistics)
• 3+ years experience in data engineering or a similar role
• Experience using the Python data stack
• Experience deploying and managing data pipelines in the cloud
