Role Overview:

Leveraging data throughout every step in the homebuilding process is critical to achieving Homebound’s mission. Homebound is looking for a data engineer who is motivated about all parts of the data lifecycle and excited to build and maintain a modern stack that helps Homebound become increasingly data-driven. This is an exciting ground floor opportunity to tackle challenging data problems with ample growth opportunities at a venture backed, growth stage company. 

Responsibilities:

• Develop, grow, and maintain Homebound’s data capabilities and tech stack
• Build and maintain a Homebound’s Data Lake, including incorporating best practices around storage, cataloging, automated testing, CI/CD, and monitoring
• Deploy robust ETL pipelines across a variety of data sources
• Deploy high quality production code on a daily basis
• Design and build best-in-class data products, workflows, and standards through simple and scalable AWS architectures

What You Have Done In Your Career:

• 2+ years of professional industry experience as a Data Engineer, Data Scientist, or Software Engineer with a focus on building production data products & platforms
• Fluency in Python, SQL, and other modern data languages
• Experience authoring and maintaining data workflows and DAGs, ideally with Airflow
• Experience working with AWS, ideally with S3, Glue/EMR, Athena, ECS/ECR, Fargate
• Experience or desire to work with Infrastructure as Code
