As our first Data Engineer at Preset, you will be responsible for building and managing high availability data pipelines that power the data insights used across functions. You will have a great influence on the technology stack, as well as the opportunity to work with Max (our CEO, creator of Airflow and Data Expert). This role also provides you an opportunity to work closely with the senior leadership team, including product managers, architects, engineering managers, revenue, and sales to drive the data needs across departments.

• Work collaboratively with data analysts, product managers, and user researchers

• Work with functional owners of business systems in building out / executing on the data model

• Build and maintain ELT, reverse ETLs that would power business-critical decisions

• Build  the data accuracy and availability of complex datasets

• Work with the Infrastructure team to ensure the security and integrity of data 

• Own data integration and data ingestion solutions while leveraging service providers like Fivetran and Segment 

• Build processes supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency, and workload management

• 5+ years of experience building data pipelines and managing data infrastructureExcellent data modeling skills

• Experience leveraging a wide array of components in the modern data stack

• Proficiency in Python and SQL

• Deep understanding of how databases work

• Excellent  project management and organizational skills

• Experience with AWS cloud services
