The Data Engineer will be part of Data Engineering Team that enables Marketing, Sales, Customer Support and Finance teams to glean insights and drive business growth. You will work closely with other highly collaborative team members like engineers, data scientists, business engagement leads and business analysts to understand what the business is trying to achieve, and design optimal data models, and provide analytical solutions.


What you will do:

Your initial project will be focused on our new Customer Data Platform where we are building a 360-degree view of our customers.

Design and develop data pipelines that creates various datasets using Apache Spark and/or other data integration tools.

Design and build workflows to integrate data across different systems.

Develop ELT/ETL and implement best practices for ELT/ETL development.

Setup monitoring processes to check data quality.

Work effectively using scrum with multiple team members to deliver analytical solutions to the business functions.

Have a high sense of urgency to deliver projects as well as troubleshoot data pipelines/queries etc.

Always be on the lookout to automate and improve existing data processes for quicker turnaround and high productivity.

You have excellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to communicate in a clear, collaborative and open-minded manner and effective manner with both technical and non-technical peers.

You have the ability to initiate and drive projects to completion with minimal guidance in a dynamic environmen

Qualifications

    • 3+ years data engineering experience in large scale data warehouse or datalake environment.
    • BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent is required.
    • Proficiency in building data pipelines using Apache Spark or other ETL technologies is required.
    • Expertise in SQL and data analysis is required.
    • Experience with at least one programming language such as Python or Java is required.
    • Experience with Mulesoft/Workato will be a strong plus.
    • Experience working directly on a Customer Hub or Customer 360 project will be a strong plus.
    • Experience with Amazon AWS is a plus.
