We seek a skilled and experienced Data Governance Specialist to develop and implement our organization's data governance policies and procedures. The successful candidate will ensure that our data is accurate, consistent, and compliant with relevant regulations while being accessible and timely for internal and external stakeholders. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and implement data governance policies and procedures to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with relevant regulations. 

  • Create and maintain a data governance framework that outlines eHealth's data management practices. 

  • Establish and monitor data quality metrics to ensure that data meets our quality standards. 

  • Work with cross-functional teams to define and document data definitions, data lineage, and data mappings. 

  • Develop and maintain a data inventory and classification framework to ensure data is appropriately classified based on its sensitivity level. 

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop and implement data-sharing agreements and data access policies. 

  • Monitor and enforce data privacy and security policies and procedures to protect sensitive data. 

  • Develop and deliver data governance training and awareness programs to ensure that all employees understand the importance of data governance and comply with data management policies and procedures. Conduct periodic reviews of data ecosystem to ensure data policy is being appropriately applied. 

  • Stay up to date with data governance best practices and emerging trends in data management. 

Required Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field, such as data management, information science, or computer science. 

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in data governance or a related field. 

  • Strong understanding of data governance principles and best practices. 

  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and industry standards, such as HIPAA, CCPA, and SOC-2 HIPAA. 

  • Experience with data management tools and technologies, such as data catalogs, metadata management tools, and data quality tools. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and project management skills. 

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment. 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
