We are seeking an exceptional Senior Data Scientist to join our Marketing Analytics team, which is developing cutting-edge analytic tools to drive better and faster decision making within our company and to better serve our customers. This is a fast-paced, collaborative, and iterative environment requiring quick learning, agility, and flexibility.

How you will make an impact:

• Work with analytics and marketing teams to better understand and measure customer success
• Help develop attribution, customer targeting and audience segmentation models using advanced machine learning techniques and communicating results to business partners
• Develop state of the art machine learning models. Iterate to push the boundaries on what company problems can be addressed through data science.
• Conduct open-ended data analysis to evaluate and solve complex problems.
• Participate in all aspects of the project lifecycle from requirements gathering, data acquisition and preparation, hypothesis generation, ideation, coding, testing, and deployment of data science and analytics products.
• Help foster a strong engineering culture through production of clear, efficient code based on project needs.
• Work with business partners to identify opportunities for innovation.

Basic Qualifications:

• 4+ years of industry experience in designing, building, evaluating and maintaining machine learning models.
• Ability to take an ambiguous business problem and frame it so it can be addressed with data science or analytics.
• Ability to communicate data science and analytical output to cross-functional, non-technical audiences that highlights key findings and limitations.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams to drive data science projects to completion.
• 3+ years of experience with SQL, a data programming language (Python, R), and scripting languages (Unix shell) as well as solid experience with git.
• Ability to structure projects and development work in a thoughtful, robust fashion that allows for collaboration and knowledge sharing
• Knowledge of statistical techniques and concepts (regression, statistical tests and proper usage, sampling, etc.).
• Mastery of machine learning toolkits and libraries (Scikit-learn, MLlib, Tensorflow, etc.).

Nice to Have:

• M.S. in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, Economics or a related quantitative field.
• Experience with marketing data science, retention and churn prediction, online advertising, customer analytics.
• Experience with Databricks.
• Experience with AWS ecosystem.
• Experience with PySpark.
• Experience with machine learning at scale is a big plus.

The base pay range reflects the anticipated pay range for this position. The actual base pay offered will depend on various factors including individual skills, experience, performance, qualifications, the department budget, and the location where work is performed. Base pay is one component of eHealth’s total rewards package, which also includes an annual performance bonus, plus an array of benefits designed to support employees’ personal and professional wellness.
