We’re revolutionizing tech hiring by giving companies a skills-based hiring platform that allows them to effectively assess technical skills. We’re growing and looking to add to our Biz Ops Analytics team. This position is Full-Time and Remote within India, reporting to the Head of Biz Ops.
The Biz Ops Analytics team is looking for a seasoned Data Governance specialist to lead our Data Governance function. Data Definition, Data Quality & Insight-Reproducibility, Data Lineage and Privacy, will be top priorities for this role. The data governance lead will partner with a wide variety of departments, such as GTM, Product, Engineering, Finance, and others to understand data management requirements
You will be working on:
- Establishing Data Governance Framework with goal to improve data: definition, quality, lineage, privacy and reproducibility
- Building inventories of data assets and data flows to support broader work and decision making
- Documenting process flows, challenges & issues, and develop future-state recommendations
- Collaborating with data owners to identify, understand and prioritize data quality issues
- Developing and defining the Data Governance roadmap activities and implementation plans
- Reporting on progress and maturity of Data Governance Program
- Providing leadership to Data Stewards by helping define roles, processes, success metrics
- Appointing and mentoring individuals into the Data Governance steering committee
We are looking for:
- Strong data champion who works with business and technology teams, to help define and implement data governance priorities at B2B SaaS, eCommerce or Platform companies
- Demonstrated experience in crafting a value-generating data-governance approach, balancing risks and providing clear, accurate and practical advice
- 7+ years of experience working in a data management or equivalent role (Data Management / Data Governance or BI / Analytics / DBA team) with focus on driving complex data programs
- 3+ years explicitly in a data governance roles
- Experience in implementing data catalogs for data governance policies
- Expert in data management concepts, including Metadata Management, MDM, Data Modeling
- Expert in data governance processes, and tools such as Alation or Collibra or similar; capable of creating home-grown solutions if needed
- Comfortable working in a distributed and remote team environment
- Strong work ethic and extreme ownership mindset
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and organizational & project management skills
Nice to have (optional):
- Bachelors or higher degree in Information Management, MIS, Business Analytics, or related field
- Strong experience with large data sets, cloud data management
- Familiarity with Talent Acquisition space
